A New Louisiana
Welcome
As a husband and father of three, I am worried about the future of Louisiana. During the past 12 years, our state didn't grow, our government did. Our government spent too much of your money, over regulated too many of your businesses, raised the tuitions of our young too many times, and over taxed too much for too long. The result is our families are hurting and many of our businesses are failing.
I am a businessman with a masters degree in business administration and years of experience running a small business. I understand the needs of small business and the necessity of reducing government's role in our lives.
I want government to serve the needs of our people in the ways it was intended to. Our government should build and maintain an infrastructure of roads and highways and waterways that are conducive to the transportation of our goods and services. It should create and fund an educational system that provides the necessary tools for a productive work force and productive lives. It should provide for the public safety so our neighborhoods are safe and our children free to grow up without fear. And it should stop taxing our businesses out of business.
During this campaign, you will be hearing more from me and about me in the coming days. I am working very hard to meet everybody individually and have been walking door to door throughout our district since early June to discuss personally with you the concerns and ideas you may have. If I missed you, I apologize but please feel free to call me at 518-0812 so that we may discuss the issues which most concern you.
I believe we can have a better Louisiana. I believe if we make our principles more important than our politics and our faith, family, and freedom the centerpiece of our future, we can do it.
I am ready to go to work and am sincerely asking for your vote and support on October 22.
Sincerely,
Barrow Peacock
